A mod focused on tweaking Police system to be realistic and less annoying.


Features

  • Delay before speeding fine while police car is present has been increased to 10 seconds
  • Police detection for speeding possibility has been reduced by 70%
  • Speed cameras now have 90% chance to fine you
  • Now you won't get fined twice if there is a police car nearby
  • There is zero possibility for 'No Lights' fine unless police spots you
  • Supports American Truck Simulator 1.58 and above


Known Issue

  • Sometimes 10 seconds delay before speeding fine for police vehicles may or may not work as intended - Unfortunately this one cannot be fixed from my side, please report that to SCS Software to fix it

V1.4 - New Era of Truck Simulator

  • New look, new name - Now since it became a only mod that has Police Tweaks, now renamed from 'Roon's Police Tweaks' to 'Police Tweaks' with new stylish thumbnail.
  • Updated to ETS2/ATS 1.58 - Now supports latest update that broke the police tweaks mod. From now on it only supports 1.58 and above.
  • Hard mode now works as originally intended - It is no longer a half-baked mod that doesn't even work.

Howdy, pardner! How have you been?


This 1.3b patch should hopefully make speeding violation in ATS detection easier compared with ETS2. Since ATS is the game that police cars are the main focus to detect speeding, I have made decision to adjust it to be more harder than before so it makes sense to be balanced compared with ETS2.


This patch is for American Truck Simulator original version only! All Euro Truck Simulator 2 versions (Normal and Hard mode)and American Truck Simulator Hard Mode version does not require an update.


  • Reverted back police detection probablity from 70% to 90% (Vanilla ATS default)

Back from the dead!

After long consideration and thinking about supporting this mod, I decided to come back into ETS2/ATS modding!

Starting with this release, this mod will no longer following ETS2/ATS release schedule. Instead it will have own version scheme and this version will be 1.3.


Apologize to everyone who worried about this mod's discontinuation. I will NEVER say it will be discontinued for just small excuses.


What's New

  • Updated description: Now this mod supports 1.37 and above. No more discontinuations will be made as long as you play on supported versions. (However using latest releases are highly recommended!)


Additional info

Unfortunately due to issue with my hard drives some images I stored are gone, so you may experience some small texts on thumbnail.

(I don't have time to make it all over again, I'm so sorry)
