HDSRL aka High Dynamic Spot Range Lights

Inspired by my GTA 5 White LED Streetlights mod, HDSRL adds longer-range lighting to roads, highways and other lamp-lit areas in ATS. The original lamp models, textures and day/night timing stay the same.

The main mod keeps the original light colors. If you prefer white lighting, use the included HDSRL White LED addon too.

How to install

Copy the .scs files into Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod, then activate them in Mod Manager.

For white lighting, enable both mods and place HDSRL White LED above HDSRL. Click Confirm Changes, load your save and enjoy.

Tested on ATS 1.61.3.1. Other mods that replace the same lamps may conflict.

Is this mod free?

Yes! HDSRL and the White LED addon are free for everyone. You do not need a paid membership. Sharing the official download link is fine; please do not reupload or sell the files.

How do I install HDSRL?

Extract the download and copy HDSRL.scs into Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod. Open Mod Manager, activate HDSRL and click Confirm Changes. Then load your save and enjoy!

How do I get white lighting?

Copy HDSRL_White_LED.scs into the same mod folder and activate it too. Keep both mods enabled, with HDSRL White LED above HDSRL in Mod Manager. Click Confirm Changes and load your save. The White LED addon needs the main HDSRL mod.

Which ATS version does this support?

Tested on ATS 1.61.3.1. Other game versions have not been verified, so check the listed compatibility before installing.

Can I use this with other lighting mods?

Mods that replace the same lamps or light definitions may conflict. If the lighting looks wrong, try HDSRL on its own first. When using the White LED addon, keep it above HDSRL in Mod Manager.

Why do some bulbs still look warm with White LED?

The addon changes the lighting, but keeps the original lamp models and textures. Some original bulb glows may still look warm even when the light illuminating the road is white.
