Fungaming Events Expansion is a major random-events expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2, featuring repaired and modernized legacy content alongside 21 curated new event variants.

The mod enriches European roads with more than 450 described dynamic roadside scenes. Expect accidents, breakdowns, recovery operations, roadworks, abandoned vehicles, city incidents, emergency response and road-surface hazards. The complete package has been cleaned, modernized and audited for ETS2 1.60.

ORIGINAL MOD CREDIT

Daniels ETS2 Random Events Mod is the historical and technical foundation of this project. The original scenes, models and supporting assets were created by Daniel, also known as danbywinby, and full credit for that original work belongs to him.

Fungaming Events Expansion has since developed into its own independent ETS2 event package through extensive repairs, modernization, safety improvements and the addition of new event variants.

MODERNIZATION AND REPAIRS

• Reworked and tested for Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.60.

• Audited supplied definitions, scenes, models, materials, textures, traffic selectors, cutscene tokens and resource references.

• Repaired invalid or outdated definitions and traffic selections.

• Updated obsolete recovery selections to use current official ETS2 event vehicles.

• Removed an outdated global vehicle-beacon override so current ETS2 lighting definitions remain in control.

• Removed obsolete backup, test and no-longer-used content from the active package.

• Preserved every original technical scene ID and path needed by compiled scenes; only visible package branding and labels were changed.

• Retained the mod's own sequential roadwork flare patterns.

• Corrected warning-sign placement, lane requirements, shoulder requirements and unsafe scene combinations.

• Added dormant compatibility definitions for removed legacy event IDs so older savegames do not report missing road-event data.

CHARACTERS AND SCENE SAFETY

• Corrected inside-lane breakdown scenes so their people stand beside the stopped vehicle instead of on the far outside shoulder.

• Prevented physical accident, breakdown and recovery scenes from spawning on single-lane motorway ramps.

• Narrow physical events now require at least two lanes.

• Heavy highway scenes are restricted to suitable two- or three-lane roads.

• Previously unwarned roadside variants now receive an advance warning triangle.

• The modern heavy recovery crane is restricted to the full hard-shoulder group with at least 3 metres of space.

• Compact recovery scenes use the authored recovery van and no longer let the crane occupy an adjacent driving lane.

• The unsafe sideways crashed-car scene with loose tire and debris was removed because motorway ramps could be misclassified as shoulder space.

CONTENT

• More than 450 described dynamic events.

• Dynamic accidents on regular roads, motorways, narrow roads and suitable shoulders.

• Accident cleanup and emergency-response variations.

• Breakdowns and recovery scenes for cars, vans, small trucks and truck-trailer combinations.

• City accidents and city roadworks.

• Country-specific motorway roadworks.

• Abandoned and crashed vehicles.

• Asphalt patches and drain-cover hazards with collisions.

• Police speed-camera scenes.

• Dynamic warning signs, VMS boards, cones, barriers and emergency vehicles.

• 21 curated new Fungaming variants built from complete, proven ETS2-authored scene chains.

ADDED EVENT VARIANTS

• Roadside traveler assistance.

• Lost-freight response.

• Mobile truck repair.

• Commercial-vehicle roadside inspection.

• Night maintenance.

• Heavy recovery operation.

• Overheated-vehicle assistance.

• Multi-vehicle chain collision.

• Staffed tire-service response.

• Hazardous-cargo response.

• Roadside infrastructure repair.

• Protected load cleanup.

• Driver medical assistance.

• Properly staged recovery.

• Burnt-trailer response.

• Inner-lane cleanup.

• Road-surface repair.

EVENT BALANCE

New event weights are balanced so no single addition dominates. The City Delivery van event was reduced from weight 50 to 10, now includes an advance warning triangle and uses its dedicated hard-shoulder scene whenever a suitable shoulder is available.

Events retain their intended road type, lane count, shoulder width, country, city and time requirements. Some scenes will therefore be uncommon, which is intentional.

Version 1.3.0 Update

- Added 12 safe left-hand-traffic event variants for the United Kingdom.

- Added verified UK asphalt-patch and road-channel scenes.

RECOMMENDED SETTINGS

Recommended Random Road Events slider: 30–35%.

Best balanced starting point: approximately 32–33%.

Use 20–25% for quieter roads and less frequent scenes.

Settings of 50% or higher are mainly useful for testing and may feel busy or repetitive.

The separate Detours slider controls route closures and rerouting. It does not control the random roadside scenes in this mod.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Do not enable this package together with Daniels ETS2 Random Events Mod. Use only one of them.

• Some events require a suitable road-event point, road type, lane count, shoulder width, country, city or time of day and may therefore be uncommon.

• The commercial-vehicle inspection is a visual AI roadside scene. It cannot inspect the player's cargo, documents or truck.

• This mod does not alter weather, rain or fog settings.

• Map and traffic mods can change where ETS2 considers an event point suitable.

BUG REPORTS AND FEEDBACK

If you encounter a bug, broken event, misplaced character, missing model or another problem, please report it so it can be investigated and corrected.

Please include:

• A clear description of the problem.

• Your complete game.log.txt file from immediately after the issue occurred.

• One or more screenshots clearly showing the affected event.

• The location or road where the event appeared, if known.

• A list of other active mods that could affect maps, traffic, vehicles, characters or random events.

Reports containing both the game log and screenshots are much easier to investigate. Reports without sufficient information may not be possible to reproduce or fix.
