Europe Enhanced is a signage and junction improvement project for Euro Truck Simulator 2
What does the mod aim to do?
The mod aims to improve signage and add quality of life features to existing cities that have not already been updated in SCS Software reworks. As SCS Software updates the base map with newer signage, I will update mine to remove my signage, and keep theirs.
Do you not make cities or towns?
No. The purpose of the mod is to improve signage and add a small number of iconic buildings or assets in select areas. I primarily focus on signage.
There are currently no plans for large-scale cities and towns to be added to the project.
Scenery cities that already exist, but do not have a city definition file, may be added; however, no major modifications will be made to them.
What signage have you updated?
I have updated the following signage across the following areas so far.
Please note: This list is not exhaustive. There may be signs that I may have forgotten to tally.
Each city listed is where the signage has been updated. This does not apply to the city itself, as it remains unaffected.
- SS194 / SS193 junction outside of Augusta, Italy (southbound direction)
- Junction 259 on the A-6 outside of Benavente, Spain
- A18 / A19 junction outside of Catania, and Zia Lisa junction heading into Catania on the A18.
- E70 / E717 junction outside of Torino, Italy
- A7 stretch between the district of Trasta and the E80 / E25 junction in Genova, Italy
- CA-34 stretch between Campamento and San Roque, Spain
- A-7 between Junction 998 and 988 outside of Malaga, Spain
- Junction 142 on the AP-7 outside of Manilva, Spain
- A-118 stretch between Kotlin Island and Vyborgsky District in Saint Petersburg
- E20 and 75 junction in Stockholm - Removed in Update 1.1.0
- E45 and E878 junction near Lamezia Terre, Italy
- Off the 5 onto the Centura Bucuresti orbital road in Jilava, Romania
- At the junction for the Drumul de Centura and Boulevardul Dunarea in Galati, Romania
- Vigeland, Norway - Removed in Update 1.1.0
- Junction 0 on the AP-8 in Irun, Spain
- AP-8 between Junctions 115 and 130 in Bilbao, Spain
- AP-8 between Junctions 377 and 384 in Gijon, Spain
- A-8 at Junction 477 in Navia, Spain
- Between Avenida San Cristobal and the junction with the AC-55 and the A-8 in A Coruna, Spain
Great! Any custom junctions?
Yes! Custom junctions have been installed in the following places:
- At the junction of the 687 and the 7 in Deva, Romania (roundabout)
- At the junction of the 1C and 1N in Cluj-Napoca, Romania (roundabout)
How about 3D models of buildings in cities?
This mod used to contain 3D models, but these were removed for reworking purposes. When they are ready, they will be redeployed into the map.
What DLCs do I need to install the mod?
To install this mod, you will need to have the following map DLCs:
- Going East
- Scandinavia
- Vive Le France
- Italia
- Beyond The Baltic Sea
- Road To The Black Sea
- Iberia
- West Balkans (after Update 1.0.9)
- Greece (after update 1.1.0)
- Nordic Horizons (after Update 1.1.0)
What files are needed?
To run the mod, you will need the map and model files, along with the definition file. I recommend leaving them zipped up as a .scs file for optimal behaviour. I am not responsible if changes are made, and the mod breaks.
Can I run this mod on earlier versions?
If the version supports the update, then yes you can. However, the map may not load before version 1.45, so caution is advised. There is no support for versions older than Euro Truck version 1.45.
Can I reupload this mod onto another site?
No you may not reupload the mod onto another site. This site is the only legitimate source for the Europe Enhanced mod. Any other sources are likely stealing the mod, and therefore could contain malware. Please do not download the mod from unofficial sources.
When can I expect updates?
This mod will be updated at my own pace; no release dates will be set, as I want this to be a stress-free experience.
