Increased Road Speed Limit mod gives you higher road speed limit compared to game default. Most of the cities now have similar road speed limit rules for both cars and trucks which your truck also get 110-140 Km/h speed limit at motorways and toll roads, 80-130 Km/h speed limit at expressways, 80-100 Km/h speed limit at local road high speed areas, and 50 Km/h speed limit at city and urban low speed areas. However, certain areas may have lower and different road speed limits as it defined directly to the map which is beyond this mod can handle.

Please note, each country has different road speed limit rules. For example, Latvia limits the maximum road speed to 90 Km/h for all kinds of their roads, whereas in Germany the speed limit for local roads is 90 Km/h and trucks are limited to 160 Km/h at expressways and motorways.

❝The speed limit for Special Transport (requires Special Transport DLC) was also increased. Instead of 60 Km/h, a maximum limit of 90 Km/h is now permitted unless restricted by lower speeds indicated by speed limit signs. Please note front pilot vehicle may slowing down or stopped suddenly so it is highly recommended that you speed up your truck only on freeways.❞

Limitations

To prevent misunderstanding, this mod intended to increase the road speed limits, not your truck speed limits. If you want to disable your truck speed limit, deactivate "Truck Speed Limiter" option in gameplay settings. However, truck speed limiter doesn't affect to World of Trucks jobs (External Contract and External Cargo Market) which is always limited to 90 Km/h (it is hardcoded). This mod also may not working with road speed limits on map mod's roads.

Known Issues

Sometimes you will find that the speed limits shown by road signs do not always match those shown by the Route Advisor. This is normal because the speed limit shown by road signs is hard-coded in the map data. In this case, the proper speed limit is as the one indicated by the Route Advisor. Here are the differences of road speed limit you might find (indicated road sign against actual speed limit):

  5 → 20 Km/h
  8 → 20 Km/h
 10 → 20 Km/h
 20 → 30 Km/h
 30 → 40 Km/h
 40 → 50 Km/h
 80 → 90 Km/h
100 → 110 Km/h

Troubleshooting

If you find this mod not seems to be working, please temporary put this mod on the top most order in Mod Manager list and start driving. Ideally this mod should be placed on Mod Manager list at higher order than map mods or traffic mods.

Disclaimers

This mod only modify the road speed limits and should support road speed limits to all cities of base map and all map DLCs. The mod will be updated once additional map DLC is coming. This mod primarily runs on latest game public version but should work well on the previous game version. This mod does not and will not support map mods. No plan to do it otherwise.
