# Free ATS Config Editor GUI Tool – Easily Customize Your Settings!

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share a free tool I’ve developed for American Truck Simulator players — the **ATS Config Editor**. This simple Python-based GUI lets you easily tweak some of the most common config settings without manually editing your *config.cfg* file.

## Key features include:

- Toggle options like Hide Steering Wheel, Enable Dev Console, Bloom Increase, Max Convoy Size (up to 128), and more  

- Adjustable sliders for FOV settings with enable/disable checkboxes for flexibility  

- Automatic detection of existing config settings to sync with your current setup  

- Manage multiple Steam profile configs for steering wheel settings  

- Backup and restore default config with one click  

- Clear disclaimer and Terms of Service on first launch  

- Handy links to help and our Discord community for support  

- A small in-app ad for our advanced Mod Optionalizer tool that converts singleplayer mods for convoy use (optional, free tool focused on config editing)  

The Windows version has been tested thoroughly and is ready to use. There are also **untested Mac and Linux versions available**, which may require some manual setup or troubleshooting.

This tool is designed to make configuration easier and safer, especially for players who aren’t comfortable with manual text edits. It’s free and open to the community.
