For those who want it all in one mod. All 19 albums and a highlight pack. Pack contains a selection of songs from these albums I've written over the past 40 years across multiple genres in multiple stations.
I have produced those songs through Suno for better recordings. All of my original lyrics and melodies have been preserved. My first album released in 1981 but I didn't hit my stride until working at Lighthouse Music Group in Seattle. I released my last solo effort in 2016. This has been a fun project and I hope you enjoy this selection of highlights. If you want to explore even more, visit my bandcamp page: thatotherbartlett.bandcamp.com.
Note: I am old enough to remember the outcry around electric guitars; using taped instruments in live concerts (ELO!); synthesizers; pre-programmed drum machines; sequencers; and auto-tune. Every few years or so, there is reason for outcry over the soulless music in our lives, but the fact is that it was not those objects but the way in which they were used. For everyone phoning in a half-baked idea of a song, there was a Rundgren, a Moog, a Clarke, a Linn, a Morodor, a Carlos, an Eno, a Hancock, and a Froese, or someone who took those tools and created art with them.
Now we have AI and if possible, even more outright hatred. Some will say it is different - but it is not. It remains a tool to create with. Do people make drivel with it? Yes, they do, that hasn't changed one bit. But for the creative, you learn how to use the tool and create the things you hear, to record the ideas from your head. This I believe, this is what I do. I'll likely be long gong before AI might be as accepted in a day like the drum machine is accepted today.
This is my legacy and I share it in this game.
